How did your passion for Land Rovers start?
It started when i was sworn as a fisheries controller (don´t know if this is the right translation, there´s no correct translation) and saw the car of our foreman the first time. It was a Defender 110 Hard Top td5 built in 2000 in green. He fitted it perfectly for his use with a snorkel, a few fish painted at the hard top and some other gadgets (the most lovely gadget is the mermaid at the front of the bonnet).
Several times he picked me up with his beloved land rover, and more and more i got infected by the so called land-rover-virus.
In the end he bought a newer defender and after half a year of speaking and convincing to him he sold me his first Land Rover.
What was the first Land Rover you owned?
A Defender 110 Hard Top td5 built in 2000.
How many Land Rovers have you owned?
1
Do your Land Rovers have a name? If so, what is the name?
Yes, it/she/ he has. There are several names like landy, but my favourite is “der Dicke” which means translated “the fat one”.
What is your most memorable Land Rover moment?
It was in Murter, croatia (the attached foto was taken at there). It was the first time we drove to the sea with our landy and the journey was concepted as a test for a bigger tour to sweden next summer. So we just wanted to see how he´s doing at longer distances, and we had serious doubts that we won´t reach our target, because nobody of us had experience with a Land Rover. But absolutely nothing broke and everything did his job as it should.
When we finally arrived in Murter, we where so happy that everything went fine that we took this photo.
What is your favourite accessory on your Land Rover and why?
It´s definitely the integrated, electric coffeemaker. One of the best decisions to fit it in. There´s nothing better than making a hot cup of tea oder coffee somewhere in the wilderness when it´s terribly cold.
